CHAM SHAN FARM
Cham Shan Farm has been our Restore Grantee since the first cycle of our Restore Fund program and has seen tremendous improvements on his farm. Farmer Pat Fan started testing regenerative practices before Restore Fund with the help of our consultant Homeland Green, such as trying different nutrient ferment recipes and using trichoderma to prevent crops from getting diseases. Yet, bearing the cost of transition alone wasn’t feasible for him. Since joining the Restore Fund in 2022, Pat Fan has utilized the aid to convert his 1.7 acre farm into a regenerative operation model.
Over the past year, farmer Pat Fan has been trying new practices and achieved major milestones, which include applying new bioactive liquid plant nutrient recipes and setting up a compost tea station. He has fully embraced regenerative practices and plans to scale up in this funding year.
