Eva is one of our first Grantees to experiment with applying BFA (made with fulvic acid). Recommended by our locally appointed soil expert, this practice allows one to make compost faster and on top of soil directly, a remedy for the existing compost sourcing challenge. She first layers leftover produce and leaves on top of the soil, then applies the diluted solution. The plot is ready in a month and is a great way to reduce food waste and keep the soil covered between crop rotations. Having seen results including better plant health and fewer pests, Eva has inspired the other Grantees with her experience at our bi-weekly meeting – sharing is caring!
