Eva’s Farm has been implementing regenerative practices since 2020 with great success. It is leading by example, for instance, her use of sweet potato leaves as a cover crop to keep the soil intact during flooding season. A tree-lover herself, Eva has always maintained an array of fruit trees (including papaya, jackfruit, and banana), and these perennial roots play a pivotal role in climate adaptation and resistance to extreme weather conditions.

Eva aims to apply regenerative practices more rigidly and to more plots in the coming year. 

  • Pest issues are more prominent in the newly designated regenerative plots. Currently, the soil is not able to boost up plants’ photosynthesis capability in order to produce more sugar content to fend off pests.

  • Eva and her husband love their trees, and so do we!

  • Eva continues to make her own compost and EM ferments. Combined with the trees surrounding the farm, it creates a synergy to foster a healthy fungal to bacteria ratio for crops.

  • All shades of green flourishing above healthy soil with barely any pest or weed issues observed in the established regenerative plots.

  • Corn leaves have minimal yellow lines and discoloration, indicating sufficient magnesium to support their growth.
